    I am very happy with the quality and sound of the K47 capsule. I replaced another K47 capsule with a 3-micron membrane in an SE Electronics Z5600A equipped with a Groove Tubes 12AY7 tube. Now this microphone is on a high professional level. The full spectrum is very natural: lows, mids, and highs are merging together. Vocals are very natural and bigger than life with a very high resolution. The slight presence peak is very supportive and not disturbing. The top end is very detailed and open but never sharp, which you would not expect from a classical K47 design. It is now my first choice for vocals. For me, it sounds better than a Telefunken U 47 as you can hear on top productions. It has more mojo, and the full spectrum sounds rounder.

    Just outstanding! Put this K7 in a MP V251 circuit with modded caps and RCA 6072 vintage tube and it is just heavenly. Rich articulate full of presence and has that slight mid cut. Also has great low mid and bottom without cancelling out clarity. It just grabs all the sound richly. You will never be disappointed with any BeesNeez product.

    I bought a K7 from Ben some years ago to upgrade a Miktek CV4. The original capsule was harsh and made the mic unusable. Once I got the K7 installed, the microphone went from unusable to being one of my primary vocal mics. It’s a truly great capsule.

    Hi Ben,

    I just wanted you to know we managed to do a secure job fitting the K7 and it sounds absolutely amazing. It made a wooly, sibilant Flea 47 sound like a brand new U47 from the 1950’s. I’m gobsmacked! It has more clarity and character than any 47 I’ve heard so far apart from my original long body with an original K49.
    Thanks so much for such a good service and sound, it’s great when our expectations are exceeded so much!

    I installed the K7 in an M49 clone, which was built with a 3U Audio K47. The before-and-after clips I recorded reveal that while the 3U capsule does a pretty good job hanging with the K7 considering its price, it can’t match the K7’s warmth and upper-register richness. The old capsule had a bit of an upper-midrange frequency bump that’s gone now. I’m very happy with the upgrade, and the old capsule will live on in a different microphone I’m getting ready to mod.

    By the way, my order of this and another capsule showed up at my door in Chicago less than a week after I placed it. Pretty impressive considering how far it had to come.
