The Neumann K87 capsule is an iconic dual-diaphragm condenser capsule developed in the late 1960s for the legendary U 87 microphone. Bridging classic Neumann acoustics with solid-state FET technology, it enabled clean switching between cardioid, omni, and figure-eight polar patterns. The Neumann K87 capsule belongs to one of the most recognised studio microphone lineages in recording history.
